Privacy policy

iTach Technologies operates PoliTrack Kenya as a data processor for the political offices, campaigns and parties that subscribe. Each subscriber is the data controller for the personal information its office collects and is responsible for its own registration with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner where required.

What iTach collects

Account details of subscribers and their staff (name, email, phone, role), billing and payment records, and technical logs needed to keep the service secure.

How subscriber data is protected

Each office’s records are isolated from other offices. Access is role-based, sign-in supports two-factor authentication, actions are recorded in an audit trail, and backups are encrypted. iTach staff access an office’s data only to provide support or when required by law.

What PoliTrack does not allow

Profiling people by political opinion, ethnicity, religion or other sensitive characteristics; importing voter data without lawful authority; and sending unsolicited political messages to harvested numbers.
